Want to help a children's charity? Test drive a car on Saturday afternoon.

Today's "Drive A Pony, Help A Kid" event at Bill Currie Ford will raise funds for Children's Cancer Center, and to participate all you have to do is test drive a Mustang.

When you do, Ford Motor Company, Jennifer Currie and family, and Tijuana Flats will team up to donate $60 per test drive to the charity. Up to $18,000 could be raised based on 300 test drives, but that requires people to get out and hit the road in a new Mustang. Not a bad way to help a charity.

And there's more going on than just driving: A special Mustang car show will display vehicles dating back to 1964. Tijuana Flats will provide food, there will be music and quarterback Mike Glennon will make an appearance with the Cheerleaders of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That's a lot of entertainment for a good cause.

The event runs today from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Bill Currie Ford is located at 5815 N. Dale Mabry, Tampa.
