New Year's Eve is the biggest party night of the year and there are plenty of LGBT events to choose from over the long holiday weekend.

Sawmill in Dade City gets an early start on celebrating the new year with five days of non-stop fun, starting Friday, Dec. 28 and ending New Year's Day. Enjoy fireworks, celebrity DJs, nightly beer busts, a Rose Parade, and a presentation of La Cage Aux Folles. The high point of the weekend is a performance by Frenchie Davis.

Georgie's Alibi in St. Petersburg also gets an early start on the weekend with "RuPaul's Drag Race" star Pandora Boxx performing Friday, Dec. 28 at 10 p.m. There's no cover and a meet and greet after the show.

That same night, the Flamingo Resort in St. Pete throws its Black & White Party. Tops wear black and bottoms wear white — and bottoms drink free from 9 to 10 p.m. The Flamingo Royal Players perform at 10 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.

And catch the outrageously incredible Prince Poppycock from "America's Got Talent" on Saturday, Dec. 29 at G. Bar in Ybor City. No cover before 10 p.m. and $5 after with $1 drinks from 9 to 11 p.m.

As for New Year's Eve, many of your favorite hotspots will be hosting fantastic events.

The Broken Tusk in St. Petersburg — owned by Judah and Levi Love, formerly of the Emerald — presents its first New Year's Eve Dance*Eoke Bash on Monday, Dec. 31. For no cover, come dance the night away or enter the karaoke contest. There will also be a free champagne toast at midnight and a 50/50 raffle to benefit the ASPCA.

Georgie's hosts its 13th Annual New Year's Eve Ball. Come down to watch the ball drop with a free champagne toast. And head back to Georgie's the next day to celebrate the new year with 75 cent Bloody Marys from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and half-off burgders all day.

Ybor City's Honey Pot holds its 2013 Platinum New Year's Eve Party. Brazilian celebrity DJ Ranny will be onhand, as well as a free champagne toast, confetti cannons and $1,000 balloon drop. No cover before 10 p.m. and only $5 after that. Free drinks from 9 to 10 p.m.

Liquid Tampa's Alpha 2013 celebration, hosted by Dallas Nielsen, features DJ Power Infiniti, Kevin Aviance, and Kitty Meow, as well as DJs Greg Anderson and Saeed Naz. Tickets are $15 in advance and $25 at the door.

That night, Flamingo presents a Cirque D'Soleil show at 10 p.m. and 1 a.m., with a champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight.

The Black Honkeys perform at Kelly's Chic-a-Boom Room and Blur Night Club in Dunedin. Cover is $15 and includes access to all five bars, party favors, and a midnight champagne toast. Entertainment will also be provided by DJ Gus, DJ Truth and other local favorites. Doors open at 8 p.m.
