If you're still looking to make weekend plans, there are plenty of LGBT events in the Tampa Bay area.
If literary is your thing, there are two great open mics on Thursday, March 21 - one on each side of the bay.
Head to the L Train Bar, 900 Central Ave, Suite 25B, St. Petersburg, for Wordier Than Thou's monthly open mic, which focuses on storytelling, fiction, and creative non-fiction. Oral Fixation’s open mic will celebrate its second birthday that same night at Ybor City’s R Bar, 1820 N. 15th St., Tampa. In addition to presenting many wonderful local artists — writers, musicians, comedians and more - Oral Fixation will also collect donated items for The Spring of Tampa Bay to benefit women, children, and families escaping domestic violence. The event starts at 9 p.m.
