(aka Richard Spitzer) is bringing his finely quaffed beats to St. Petersburg's The Bends on Tuesday, July 30. Cloak+Dagger hosts the FREE performance by the NYC producer.
His tracks have been described as "therapeutic synth, low frequency bass, and a balance of melodic heart speak." Spitzer has worked with the likes of Dan Deacon, Regina Spektor, Philip Glass and more. In an interview with Impose
, he says, "Dan used to crash at my apartment and would offer me his tiny Casio synths like the CZ-101 to record with. We also once played in a punk-polk band backing another classmate Langhorn Slim with tuba, drums and accordion. I think the car broke down afterwards and we wound up playing on the streets of Greenwich Connecticut if I recall."
His new Reskilled EP
is available for download here
, but you can enjoy some of his tunes below.
