Be prepared to see, hear and read a lot about Charlie Crist this week. His new book, The Party's Over, is being published this week.
And the Democratic gubernatorial candidate has a new ad out Monday morning that hits Rick Scott in one of his vulnerable spots - his checkered past before he became governor of Florida in 2010.
Scott last week said his fiscal record “represents a sharp contrast to the four budgets before we took office," a clear shot at his predecessor. Now Crist is firing back.
In case you forgot, Rick Scott was co-founder and CEO of Columbia/HCA in the 1990s, when the FBI launched a massive, multi-state investigation that led to the company pleading guilty to criminal charges of overbilling the government. Scott said he accepted responsibility for what occurred at Columbia/HCA but had no knowledge of the fraud at the time.
