I never thought so much could change

When: Jan. 11-Feb. 8, 7-10 p.m. 2013

What: No, we aren't referring to the Ben Folds song. Winner of CL's Best Alternative Art Space Best of the Bay award for three years running, The Tempus Projects starts 2013 with the opening reception for I never thought so much could change, an exhibition laced with the themes of sentimentality and adaptation-based work. The exhibition will feature an eclectic group of local artists including Gigi Lage, Sabrina Small and Ryann Slauson, each bringing their own take on the exhibit using their artistic specialties of videography, sculpture, paint and videography — all of whom will exhibit their view on bathos — or the transition from glorification to commonplace — and acclimation . This event is open to the public and BYOB (bringing your own beer is encouraged for those less party-fluent) is encouraged. —Kelsey Sunderland
