With one intriguing headliner and a diverse lineup of more than a dozen local and Florida-bred performers, Summer Jam makes a resounding return to Ybor City. The big multi-venue live music hurrah is a Labor Day Weekend celebration that also marks the unofficial end of summer. For its ninth year, THX Management welcomes Helado Negro, the nom de plume of South Florida native Roberto Lange. He’s touring behind this year’s Invisible Life, his third and latest full-length of synths, samples and magnetic grooves, though it’s the first that finds him singing in English as well as Spanish. Also of note: Orlando-spawned interactive multimedia punk/horror-core outfit Moonmen From Mars, who perform in silver skintight body suits with faces covered in brightly-hued blank-faced masks.
