The Big Picture: A Selection of Cirkut Photographs from the Burgert Brothers Collection

When:  Through July 15

What: Hark back to the late 1800s to the early 1960s by way of photos of businesses, homes and social gatherings taken in Tampa Bay and throughout Florida’s west coast; selected from an archive at the John F. Germany Library — for the public to view and use, in case you didn’t know. The History Center displays 22 Burgert cirkut prints, a ledger book, 1904 suitcase camera, and other this-and-that related to the famed paparazzi. In addition, Bryan Weinstein’s Tampa Changing project reveals a timelapse through re-shoots of Burgert Brothers settings, duplicating their angles and locations, but a century later. —Julie Garisto
